Excursion to Taza

8:30h-9:30h: You‘ll get a free pick up from your Hotel /Riad in an air-conditioned transport and hit the road from Fez to Taza, on the way to Taza you’ll be mesmerized by the panoramic view.
Then you’ll arrive in Taza, one of the antique Moroccan cities, you‘ll start your trip with a visit to the old Medina and its monuments like Sour Moulwalab, Al Mechwar, Drouj Bab Jamaa, Jamaa Lkbe, and other beautiful places.

13:00h; Lunch at a local restaurant in Taza.

A fantastic tour of Friouato cave

14.00H: After lunch, (20 km) from Taza, we’ll stop at Friouato cave which is considered one of the deepest caves in the world more than (3.5/km) underground. but its real limits are still mysterious. However, experts believe that its ends stretch to about 6 kilometers. There are also signs of an underground river that is believed to flow near the caves. At the cave, you’ll be pleased by a unique adventure that will make you feel amazed. if you want to feel what’s like to be inside a mountain 300m underground? Friouato cave is the place to explore.

We’ll go down for about hundreds of stairs to find a tiny opening from which we will begin to explore the cave. The temperature inside the cave is low and it’s wet slippery clay rocks with some small pools. Be sure that you will wear water-resistance shoes and clothes; otherwise, rent a miner’s outfit (helmet with lamp, water shoes…) from a local shop. At the cave, follow your driver’s advice: climb short scales, walking in balance on a piece of wood to reach the point 300m underground. When we get there, you’ll find nothing by silence and calm complete darkness. So, take the time to enjoy this moment!

Return back to the top, we’ll find ourselves in a breathtaking sight with the sun illuminating stairs through a big natural hole. After, the charms of history, natural beauty, Forests of cork oaks, cedars, tall ferns, waterfalls, and lakes.

We’ll visit the National Park of Tazekka with a surface of 6.8 km², the design of this attractive Park is the natural shelter resource from mountain Jebel Tazeka with (1980/m) of altitude.

17.00-18.00H Finally, back to Fez hotel/riad.
